Universal Pictures is currently conducting an international talent search for a lead role in a major feature film with a $100 million dollar budget starring Tom Cruise. Actors who wish to be considered can send in a hardcopy photo and resume to the casting directors, or submit a video audition on the film's official casting website. Shooting will take place in mostly in New Orleans and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Additional filming will take place in Los Angeles, New York, and the country of Iceland. Principal photography will begin on March 19, 2012 and continue through August 12, 2012.

ABC Family is currently casting lead and supporting roles in Los Angeles for the upcoming musical telefilm "The Mistletones". Filming will take place from February 6th - March 19, 2012 in the Salt Lake City, Utah area. The movie's stand-ins and extras will be hired in Salt Lake City throughout filming. The story follows young lady with and extraordinary singing voice who starts her own Christmas caroling group and sets out to win a competition.

The long anticipated feature film adaptation of author Stephenie Meyer's "The Host" is now ready to begin shooting in February, 2012. The extras casting director in Louisiana is accepting appointments for casting calls in Baton Rouge. Both men and women are needed, however this is for adults 18 years of age and older. Any open calls for teens and children will be posted as they become available. You need not be a resident of Louisiana to be considered, however you must be located in the area during filming, and have the proper paperwork.

Warner Bros. Television and Chuck Lorre Production's hit CBS multi-camera sitcom "The Big Bang Theory" is currently in production on it's fifth season and casting for principal actors and extras is ongoing in Los Angeles. The series is now the number one show on Thursday night primetime, beating out Fox's "American Idol", and continues to show steady growth in the ratings. "The Big Bang Theory" has been extended by CBS through the 2013–2014 season.

The upcoming coming-of-age Paramount Pictures feature film "Labor Day" is currently accepting submissions from boys and girls between the ages of 10 - 17 years of age, including a mentally handicapped boy between 12 - 17 years of age. These are for two lead roles and one supporting role to star opposite Academy Award winner Kate Winslet and Academy Award nominated Josh Brolin. Shooting will take place in the Boston, MA area starting in June, 2012.

Sony Pictures in association with Overbrook Entertainment are set to begin production on the major sci-fi epic thriller feature film "After Earth" which had previously been titled "1000 A.E." Shooting will take place in Philadelphia and some out of town locations starting on February 6, 2012 and continue through mid May, 2012. The casting directors are seeking both photo-doubles and stand-ins for Jaden Smith, as well as numerous extras to work on the film.

The upcoming independent dark teen comedy feature film "Spring Breakers" is currently auditioning actors in Los Angeles for lead roles and supporting roles. Smaller roles and extras will be cast in Florida where shooting will take place beginning in February, 2012. The movie is about four female college students who attempt to pay for their spring break trip by robbing a restaurant, and end up getting busted. Academy Award nominated actor James Franco plays a rapping drug dealer who bails the girls out and persuades them to help him kill his rival dealer.

Online retailer AboutCurves.com, a provider of plus size lingerie and accessories, is seeking aspiring plus-size models to help spread the message of size acceptance and beauty at any size throughout the fashion industry. An upcoming photo shoot for the lingerie retailer will show off a wide variety of new plus size lingerie products. These photo shoots allow the retailer to challenge the idea that women have to fit into a certain mold in order to be attractive and that women of varying body types have limited options with respect to lingerie.

New Line Cinema in association with Warner Bros. Pictures are currently filming "The Hobbit: There and Back Again" in the Wellington, New Zealand area through late March, 2012. The casting directors are holding an open casting call for folks who live within reasonable driving distance of Wellington and would like to appear in the film as paid background performers. Shooting will take place at Stone Street Studios and various locations around Wellington.

Treehouse Pictures in association with Anonymous Content are getting ready to begin filming the comedy feature film "Adult World" starring Emma Roberts. Casting for co-starring and supporting roles is taking place in New York City. However shooting will take place in Syracuse, New York where an open casting call is scheduled for the film's extras and stand-ins.
