Walt Disney Company's Marvel Studios is curently shooting the superhero blockbuster feature film "The Avengers". The movie is being directed by Academy Award nominated Joss Whedon. Whedon also re-wrote a script that was originally written by scribe Zak Penn. There will be an official open casting call being held by Marvel Studios in Cleveland, OH on July 15th and 16th for local area people interested in appearing in the film as extras.

Production has commenced today in Albuquerque, New Mexico on Marvel Studios' highly anticipated movie "Marvel's The Avengers," directed by Joss Whedon ("Serenity") from a screenplay by Whedon. The film will continue principal photography in Cleveland, Ohio and New York City.
