Casting directors in New York and Los Angeles are holding auditions for series regulars and possible recurring roles, with guest starring and day player roles to be cast subsequently. All of the show's stand-ins and background extras will be cast in New York throughout production beginning on March 18, 2013.

NBC is searching for the 2011 best Voice of America, and open casting calls now scheduled throughout the United States in January and February, 2011. The winner of this competition gets a recording contract with a major label.
