Based on true events, the upcoming major feature film "Empire State" is auditioning actors in Los Angeles and New York for starring and supporting roles. Shooting will take place in New York City, and New Orleans where additional casting for smaller speaking roles and extras will take place. The three starring roles cast so far have been filled by The Hunger Games' Liam Hemsworth, Young Artist Award winner and six-time Teen Choice Award nominee Emma Roberts, and Teen Choice Award winner Dwayne Johnson.

Summit Entertainment, the production company behind "The Twilight Saga" films, has acquired the rights to the youth-oriented "Ender's Game" franchise. An open casting call has been scheduled seeking bright and talented kids and teens ages 10 - 17 of varying ethnic backgrounds. Talent must be located within reasonable driving distance of New Orleans, LA. The shoot is scheduled to run from February 2, 2012 through June 8, 2012. The casting directors are especially interested in home-schooled kids and teens due to the filming schedule during school hours. An on-set teacher is required to be provided by the production company for all minors, therefore it is not absolutely necessary to be home-schooled. Those who are selected will have the adventure of a lifetime and become part of science fiction cinema history!

Everyman Pictures and Warner Bros. Pictures are teamed up for a political comedy feature film titled "Dogfight". The main starring roles are being cast in Los Angeles, and smaller supporting and day player roles are being cast in Louisiana. The extras, stand-ins, and photo-doubles for the films principal actors will all be cast in Louisiana. In Louisiana, there are over 58 speaking roles being cast and the extras casting director has issued a casting call for thousands of paid extras roles.

The casting directors for the upcoming feature film "Earthbound" starring Kate Hudson and Kathy Bates are holding an open casting call in the New Orleans suburb of Harahan, Louisiana. They are seeking both principal actors as well as extras in the New Orleans area. Filming begins January 18, 2010.
