Disney's "Oz: The Great and Powerful" will begin shooting in July. Auditions for the film's co-stars and supporting players continues in Los Angeles, and casting for additional speaking roles, extras, photo doubles, and stand-ins for the film's main stars has begun in Detroit and Pontiac, Michigan.

Barry Sanders, the former Detroit Lions superstar and Hall of Fame running back, will play the role of the offensive coordinator for the fictional Cuyahoga High School football team. The production is casting vehicles and drivers, and general extras.
