The hit FX Network Golden Globe Nominated horror-drama series American Horror Story has been renewed for a second season and the award winning casting team is now holding auditions in Los Angeles for series regulars. The show's format is anthology based, whereas the story, characters, and location for each season is different. The show's guest stars and extras will be cast throughout the season, which begins shooting July, 2012. The second season of "American Horror Story" will take place in an East Coast mental institution, although filming will take place in Los Angeles.

The feature film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's "The Host" is now finally in pre-production with filming set to start in January, 2012. The talented Academy Award nominee Saoirse Ronan has dropped out of "The Hobbit" to take on dual roles in "The Host". Auditions for the film's other starring roles and supporting roles is getting underway. The day player actors, extras, stand-ins, and photo doubles will be cast just prior to the principal photography start date and will continue throughout filming.
