The hit series "Army Wives" has been given a 23-episode sixth season order and casting for the show's guest stars are being cast out of New York, and additional principal actor casting is being done in South Carolina where shooting takes place. There is also an open casting call scheduled for extras - specifically seeking African-American men between the ages of 13 and 25, who weigh 190 pounds or less, and kids/teens of any ethnicity 3-17 years of age.

The major feature film "Gangster Squad" has begun production in Los Angeles and the casting directors are casting day players, extras, photo doubles, and stand-ins. The Warner Bros. Pictures film has an all star cast that includes Sean Penn, Ryan Gosling, Josh Brolin, Emma Stone, and Nick Nolte. "Gangster Squad" chronicles of the LAPD's fight to keep East Coast Mafia types out of Los Angeles in the 1940s and 1950s.

The Cypress Moon Productions feature film "The Story of Bonnie and Clyde" is currently casting and re-casting a number of starring roles after Hilary Duff announced she is pregnant and was pulling out of the project. Duff was set to play Bonnie Parker. Kevin Zegers was set to play Clyde Barrow, however he also pulled out of the project due to scheduling conflicts. Shooting will begin in November, 2011 and take place in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Missouri.

The Hasbro and Paramount Pictures science fiction-action film sequel "G.I. Joe: Retaliation" is now in production and the casting directors are casting principal actor roles, supporting roles, day players, extras, photo doubles and stand-ins for the films stars. There will be a few day shooting in Vancouver, BC from August 5th to August 9th, 2011. However the stars have been cast in Los Angeles, and the remainder of casting is taking place in New Orleans. Louisiana shooting will run from August 15, 2011 to November 24, 2011.

ABC Family is now in production on a new drama series titled "Jane By Design", and the show's casting directors are auditioning talent for guest starring, day player, and under-five roles. Extras and stand-ins will also be hired throughout production on season 1, which will wrap on October 6, 2011. The series is being shot at Santa Clarita Studios.

Auditions for starring, co-starring, and supporting roles are underway for Screen Gems' The Mortal Instruments feature film based on the first novel in author Cassandra Clare's series, "City of Bones". The next three novels are "City of Ashes," "City of Glass," and "City of Fallen Angels". Filming begins in August, 2011 and will take pace in Los Angeles, CA. "City of Bones" will likely be the title of this first film in the franchise.

Turtle Rock Productions, the company behind such Disney hit TV series as "Jonas" and "Zeke and Luther", is currently in pre-production on a new 1/2 hour single camera pilot comedy series for Disney XD. The show will be executive produced by and starring Napoleon Dynamite's Jon Heder. Casting for the series regulars is taking place, and shooting will begin in July, 2011.
