Season eight of "Desperate Housewives" is now in production on it's eighth season, and auditions will be ongoing from July, 2011 through April, 2012. Both principal actor and background extras casting takes place in Los Angeles, CA The single camera comedy-drama-mystery series is filmed at the Colonial Street Backlot and sound stages at Universal Studios.

ABC Studios in association with Shondaland are in production on the new medical drama 'Off the Map', which will be filmed in Hawaii beginning on August 30th. There will be two open casting calls for both AFTRA members and Non-Union talent for speaking roles and extras.

The popular single camera ABC sitcom "Cougar Town" is currently in production and is casting day players and extras. The show takes place in the fictional town of Gulf Haven in Sarasota County, Florida but is filmed in Culver City, CA. This series is under AFTRA contract.


 

New ABC series casting featured extras in the Dallas, TX area

The new ABC television series "The Deep End", starring Billy Zane, will be casting 20 regular extras to appear in the background of each episode. The series will film through mid-November, 2009. This show is under AFTRA contract, however both AFTRA and non-union people are being considered. The series was formerly called "David Hemingson Legal project" and "The Associates."
