It's official! “THE TWILIGHT SAGA: BREAKING DAWN” production has been greenlit and I now have the latest information. The fourth saga in the Twilight Series is going back to it's roots and will be filmed back in Portland, OR. Principal photography will not begin until September, 2010.
The producers of a new HBO series titled "Meet Phil Fitz" are holding an open casting call for background extras in Nova Scotia, Canada. All ages and types are needed. Both ACTRA and non-union people are being considered. In addition, due to the number of workers (actors, film crew, and so on) who will be converging on the area, MPF Productions is looking for rented rooms and apartments for them to live while the shooting is going on.
Casting is now underway for a multicamera 1/2 hour AFTRA television pilot for FOX television teentitively titled "The Rednecks & Romeos". The show is being Executive Produced by 2-time Primetime Emmy nominated Mark Brazill. Casting Director Marc Hirschfeld is seeking young actors ages 18 - 22 who are able to play 16 - 17 year old teenagers.
The upcoming Disney feature film "Captain Nemo: 20,000 Leagues Under The Sea" is now in pre-production. The film will be directed by McG (Charlie's Angels: Full Throttle, We Are Marshall, Terminator Salvation) and will begin principal photography in February, 2010.
The new ABC television series "The Deep End", starring Billy Zane, will be casting 20 regular extras to appear in the background of each episode. The series will film through mid-November, 2009. This show is under AFTRA contract, however both AFTRA and non-union people are being considered. The series was formerly called "David Hemingson Legal project" and "The Associates."
