Walt Disney Pictures upcoming feature film "Secretariat" is now in pre-production and casting for actors and extras is underway. Filming will take place from September 28, 2009 - December 4, 2009 in South Louisiana and Kentucky.

The film stars Ed Harris and Jennifer Connelly, and is written and will be directed by Academy Award winner Dustin Lance Black. The film will be shot in the Holland, Michigan area which is near Grand Rapids. Principal photographt starts in late September, 2009.
